Goals

CW PREP is a Kentucky-based program created to support college students studying to become child welfare workers. They were looking for support to create a unique and youthful brand identity as well as a user-friendly multi channel experience.

Challenges

Starting from scratch – this was a new brand with non-existent branding to start. On top of that, their current online presence was also non-existent.
Appealing to multiple audiences – the website and campaign strategy had to appeal to both students currently studying child welfare as well as pique the interest of students in other majors.
The timeline was extremely tight – this required the ability to balance the timeline demands while also delivering quality and well researched work.
Multiple stakeholders – this required clear communication so that things were not lost in translation between us, another agency and the client.

Process

This was a quick turnaround project, requiring close collaboration with an extensive team to successfully launch the site. We created multiple brand identity options before the final version was chosen and refined. This is a unique company, and it required detailed research and ideation to establish the brand and user-experience.

We also created social media, advertisements, emails and an RFI (Request for Information) landing page to be used in a multi-channel campaign.

The RFI landing page design system was then used and expanded upon for the responsive website. The tight timeline required us to jump directly into design. Desktop, tablet and mobile designs were created for three pages. This required me to pivot and draw from my past experience in Content Strategy and Wireframe phases and apply best practices to meet fast-approaching deadlines.
